“You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17
Being a son is a matter of identity, not just a label or a position. It is a change of identity. In Christ we are a son of God and now like God. “what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: 2. Beloved, now are we the sons of God. 3. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” 1 John 3:1-3
Our identity is now wrapped up in God. “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint- heirs with Chris.” Romans 8:17
Our identity is now linked to Christ. Everything Christ is we are also. Knowing who we are and how we fit into the universe is one of the most powerful forces in the world. It effects how we live our lives, and
even how we die. Therefore, having a biblical understanding of who we are is vital. Our identity as believers is in Jesus Christ. 1 John 3:2
PRAY: Father, thank you for your will to make me your child, I belong to you and in Christ, I am made new in your image again. That means that I have the same rights and privileges as Your own Son, Jesus Christ. I thank you for loving me and making me yours. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN!
